Eddie Cochran and Liberty Records

On September 8, 1956,Eddie Cochran signed a one-year contract with Liberty Records where he went on to have three U.S. Top 40 hits. They were “Sittin’ In The Balcony” (#18), “Summertime Blues” (#8) and “C’mon Everybody” (#35). He was killed at age 21 in a car accident while on a British tour in April 1960. In 1987, Cochran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
